Kurai Nichiyoubi -Sombre Dimanche- (PC) Walkthrough

Sombre dimanche...
Sombre dimanche

WARNING: In the walkthrough there'll be constant mention of suicide, self-harm, other dark stuff that I failed to substitute with euphemisms. You have been warned.

-STORYLINE-
October. The rainy season has come again. While Naruse Masato leads a boring life, he suddenly meets a stuffed rabbit and now he's wrapped in a nightmare. Will he finds his way out and finally learn the truth about the nightmare or he'll be trapped forever with no answer?

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE, WHEN AND AFTER PLAYING THE GAME

-BEFORE-
You are playing as Naruse Masato, a third-grade student who likes to stay in the library and always rejects others. You'll be playing a total of 20 endings; 18 ends, 1 happy end, and 1 true end.

Be prepared for grotesque images, blood, self-harm, animal harm, suicide, feels, and Gloomy Sunday.

-WHEN-
You'll be presented with this choice several times (yes, it is a choice):

black screen with a tape
Will you play the videotape?
I indicated these choices with underlined UP (play the videotape) and underlined DOWN (do not play the videotape)

static screens with timestamp

These are the important "times". I've stated the times which one you have to choose in the walkthrough.

Also worth noting. The choices in the brackets are questions for Masato's twin brother (about the rain, about the rabbit, about jack the ripper). I want to separate it to make it easier to distinguish between the real choices and conversation choices.

-AFTER-
Play all the endings and you'll change the title menu forever and also unlocks EXTRA menu. Have music, CG, list of endings, important notes.

screen with a phone
October 8th. 2:59 PM. Today is also Sunday.

maki smiles in a room
"I've thought this before. If there's a country where everyone is bad at lies, senior can be the president of said country."
THE ONLY LIGHTHEARTED DIALOGUE OF ALL THE SCRIPT.

white screen with tears stain
But then, why am I crying?

screen with red crayon drawing
"Whatever. But, it feels good, right?"

maki at the rooftop
Maki's image arose from my mind.

masato monologues in the dark
Probably, he's the reason why I haven't died yet.

masato smiles at hospital
"Yeah, I'm happy now."

maki appears in masato's memory
There was a scene that appeared in my mind. Light amber comes in through the windowpane. A smile of a young child without any worry. Why this memory appears now?

maki jumps off the roof
Maki's shoes kicked off the concrete floor.

maki disappears

OK I'VE BEEN SILENCE FOR PAST FEW PICTURES BUT THIS. THIS IS THE LIMIT. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MAAAAAAAAAAAKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Also, it's probably my mind is playing a trick on me but... it seems that Maki likes Masato. It's not explicitly stated. Maaaaaybe subtly hinted at how he reacts at several endings.

Don't judge me I just want him to be happy ok? My poor bby who is traumatized.

maki smiles in hospital
"...Good morning, senior."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HINO MAKI YOU DESTROYED ME.

new title screen

Look at them, leading a new life. This will be your title menu forever, if you don't delete the game file and starts anew. You monster.

Sombre dimanche
